Yeah like 2 hours ago I spoke with the normal guy I talk to there for about 15 mins

It gets released tomorrow to current owners so at this point I don't think he cares that he was spilling info to me.

He said they tried it both ways and this was the easiest. I'd be willing to bet what I've said is correct.

I have to say they are very, very helpful guys there. Easy to talk to and could definitely tell he really cares.

$900+ is extremely steep when you already paid $1600

Well the majority of that $1500 is from the amp and the sub I'm sure. Speakers are cheap.

But yes, I agree with you I was hoping for $500ish

Yeah unfortunately this is true. In fact the System 450Q which is the cheaper $1200 option is almost exactly that. The amp, sub and wiring. You do get the two tweeters as well but those aren't big ticket items.

What stings about the $900 to me is we've already paid for the R&D (read amp, DSP, and plug-n-play designs) when we bought the original system. Shouldn't have to pay for it a second time.

Effectively this makes the 360w single 8 system $1500 and the 720w dual 8 with identical mids/tweeters $2400+...that's...a bit of a stretch even if you take into consideration that the identical speakers will be getting twice the juice. I'm curious if the speakers are even capable of receiving 90w rms each.

So either that's one for like a tundra/4 runner / or something along those lines, or it's an older revision they were using for the teaser, or the guy was pulling my chain and the amp is built in to the sub haha.

Thanks, we will see this weekend I guess. $900 Will be too much for me but we'll see what they say. Would be nice but very happy with original system...

Have to wait and see on the price, but I think that's comparible to the sub and amp combo anyway. And it's optional. Keep in mind this isn't a factory cranking them out in mass volume. It's custom fitted plug and play for our truck offered nowhere else. I don't regret the 1500 so I doubt I'd regret another 9. Their stuff is quality and I've been happy with it. Sure, I could tear out the rear and build something to shatter my windows but that's not what I'm going for.

Kicker makes similar audio upgrades for checy/ford, but the boxes are plastic, and dealerships charge way more for it.

If the profit margin is low, and the original amp sub combo is that much, I don't know how a second amp/sub could be any cheaper.

There is a 300 dollar difference between the system with a subwoofer and the system without the subwoofer. So that’s quite a bit less than majority of 1500. The higher premium price i would assume is not the subwoofer, or amp, but the straight plug n play set up, retain factory warranty and controls, Tuned specifically for your vehicle model. Not to mention the wire harness and 3 year warranty. $900 would be only the borderline of insane. That is just my opinion.

You have it mixed up. The $1200 system has the amp sub and tweeters. The $1500 system adds front and rear door speakers to that.

    Just left the demo event,

I can’t speak for hearing the single sub version as it was the same type of demo previously,
but it was very clean and balanced at the settings it was at. I’m sold on it!

I’m sure Daniel will post some more info and pictures in a bit.

Although I'm super happy they're coming out with a dual subwoofer system and I do believe they make a superior product/system, but 2 g's sounds a little steep. I'll keep an eye out for more information when released. I had their system once and I was super happy with it so I assume this system will be much better.
