    When he told me it would be a little under the $950 mark that the 4 runner or fj dual sub he must have been playing with me a little bit!

    Yup, actually it seemed like it would be too much bass for my extent when I have the family with me.. otherwise it was really nice. Wasn’t overly powerful like some aftermarket systems I’ve seen

    Ordered. The gain knob is a very nice addition. I've wanted one a handful of times even with the single 8. Sweeping the bass on the headunit sends too much to the mids for me.

    2nd gen has a shelf built in to the area behind the seat whereas the 3rd doesn't. Might be doable with modification.

    Here's Daniel's response to my question regarding the dual sub option for 2nd gens ...

    Hi Dan,

    Thanks for your message and interest in our Tacoma Subwoofer upgrade. We are currently evaluating the 2nd generation requests on a case by case basis. Our initial measurements show that the fit is the same (with a slight modification to a storage shelf on the passenger side of the 2nd generation vehicle). However to be certain, I would request a photo of your rear storage area (as well-lit as possible).

    Hopefully there will be enough interest from us 2nd gens for them to create another version for us. I was a bit disappointed when I found out that the 2nd gen bins were different when he tried to fit it in my truck.
