Glad to learn there is more LOWS available. What is your overall feedback on the System? I've never built a system myself, but have grown up surrounded by what I would consider high-end car audio. Just need to know this is worth the price of admission and why.

Ok - I have had the pleasure of having the system in my truck for a couple of months now and have normalized to it — so much so that I feel like other cars (even those with systems) lack clarity. The simple install and optimized results that this audio produces are well worth the price of admission. On top of all of that the customer service is some of the best I've dealt with and I worked in high-end CS for many years. honestly, if you are having any doubts or concerns you should reach out to them, I'm sure they have somebody in the Portland area that would let you sit in on a jam session or two to hear it for yourself.

Just got my second sub installed. It is great. I highly recommend it for filling out the sound. Daniel was very helpful with my questions about the install. It is a very nice system! I don’t want to vibrate the doors off, just fill out the sound. Great with the gain control for keeping the bass balance to your liking.

Here are some from earlier on the thread as @Coloradokid mentioned.

I've seen some good ones on the company's instagram, but wasn't able to grab while at work. Maybe after...

Has anyone gone with the Dedicated sub amp with gain control option? I like the idea of getting as much bass a possible without losing both storage areas like in the dual sub setup.

Any long term updates from those who have had the system for a year, still going strong and loving it?

I'm hoping there is a black friday deal...

I've had my kit for nearly 2 years at this point. I bought the second sub when it came out but still haven't gotten around to installing it...probably a testament to it not really being necessary, for me at least, or I would have found the time. Either way it's still going strong for me. I'd buy it again today without question.

Is the second sub option available for access cab? Anyone with an access cab in the Bay Area for a listen? Anyone want to give me a quote to help me install in the Bay Area? How much deadening should I buy pre-install?

That says a lot, thank you! I've been debating between the single vs the dual option, and found endless reasons to do either. Quick question, was your setup at the time of this last comment with the dedicated sub amp or without? Thanks for any insight.

Without. My system at the time, and still do this day, was the original 450Q system which did not come with the dedicated sub amp or gain control knob. I see it's a bit different now on the website but I believe my equivalent system would be the reference 500 without any sub/amp additions. My second sub and dedicated amp are still in the box...I'll get around to it some day.

It's been almost another year since I've made that comment. I'm still very happy with the system. Haven't had any issues and would buy again today no hesitation.

Thanks for the prompt response and further clarification. Definitely gives me confidence that I can go either direction.

Was going to hold off on posting here until I had a chance to see this kit installed (buddy of mine ordered the dual and I am planning on helping out.... i.e. taking pictures). However got the chance to demo the system at FJ Summit in Ouray, CO over the weekend (Friday, technically), it was a FJ and 4Runner that they had at their booth technically, but whoa... it sounded tight. I am very impressed with the clarity and sound stage as everything flows seamless.

The FJ they were using had the ability to test both single and dual subs. I would say single is MORE than enough for me, but the dual subwoofer really accomplishes a lot. It is hard to describe, but it just is more felt. Almost like going from regular radio to HD, but without that description implying that the single is lacking, just beautifully different. Not sure I would want to give up the space though. Even the one sub location is hard for me to let go of.

I can say with confidence that this upgrade is in my future, just timing...

Is it possible to use an aftermarket headunit with this kit (single subwoofer)?

We typically don't get the opportunity to join the conversation (especially because we want to do our part to preserve the unbiased aspect of the forum). However wanted to provide an official answer to your question. Yes! Our Sound Solutions is completely compatible with the aftermarket head unit of your choosing, both in terms of connectivity and above all, our signature sound reproduction the moment plug you your system in (tuned specifically with the output characteristics of the unit you're using).

The good news is that if you’re still considering your head unit (if applicable), the O+ System is optimized to deliver our guaranteed result with your factory radio and can be easily updated by way of USB for your new Head Unit once installed. We have implemented this process in the name of eliminating any downtime of our Owners listening experience.

    INSTALLED.

Thank you to the forum members that shared their feedback about the system, answered my few questions and provided pictures. I was really able to get a grasp of what the system was/is... I am very impressed with the results. Its rare to say, that the hype was exceeded, but even with as much praise as I read about, I feel completely satisfied with this decision.

Installation was exactly what is outlined in the videos they provide. However I had to be redirected to their website rather than the one easily found on YouTube... I understand the reasoning of keeping the original (I guess), but maybe a link on the outdated public video that points to the site? Maybe I missed it. Choosing something that is reported to be plug and play was a no brainer for me. I’m too busy to be gutting my interior experimenting and trying to squeeze amps and subs in places they don’t fit. Everything being thought out beforehand (with this system) and fitting exactly where stated in the video/pdf was very satisfying. I took my time, took pictures, ate lunch in between, probably 5-6 hours for me.

To sum things up, the system drastically improved the sound quality of my Tacoma (2018 TRD). The staging and clarity on unreal considering that stock speaker locations are being used. Wouldn't mind a bit more from the rear speakers when everything is centered on the fader. Bass from the sub is solid bass, not booming (as desired), front door speakers blend nicely with everything and the highs are front, center and crisp.

I can't say how loud the system can go. I haven't found a need to go past 55 listening to primarily via Spotify ("Premium" with the streaming "Music Quality" set to "very high" 320/kbit/s with the "Equalizer" set to off). I also have the settings on my radio set in the middle. I find it loud enough at the 45-55 level to overcome road noise and provide a full sound without leaving me wanting. Though its good to know the volume has 10 clicks to spare. I have listened to a range of recordings prior to writing this, John Legend, Steely Dan, Metallica, Disclosure, Drake, Led Zeppelin and so forth.

The package details I got from oemaudioplus are as follows from my order notes: "Toyota Tacoma | Reference 500 (#TYT-TCD-REF500-1600), Tacoma Radio: Factory Entune II (Pictured), Interior:Leather"

Frankly the whole experience has motivated me to participate in the forums more, as this upgrade would not have been my radar otherwise. Thanks y'all! I will try to post the pictures I took when time permits.
