24F is the Factory size battery on all 3rd Gens, if you want to go with a 27F then grab a battery tray from a 2nd Gen with tow package

I've had a long, successful, happy relationship with Duralast Gold Batteries (only thing from Auto Zone I'd own)

Current one (in Tacoma, 27F) is almost 4 years old. Still a "youngin'" in my book. Have one on a tractor that sits out doors all the time....Get's started every 4 or 5 months...and is 9-1/2 years old. Never balked once....

It will fit but it will overhang the Factory battery tray.

Center console divider thingy, rubber bed mat and side steps for the wife.
I have had numerous Toyota's and have found their batteries to be very good quality and long lasting. We still have the original battery in our 2013 Avalon and it shows no sign of crapping out. Having said that, I tend to use AZ gold as a go to when needed.

I believe it would probably sit flat as it is plastic and would bend down

I just replaced my OEM battery this morning after it decided to die young, less than 2 yrs old.Replaced it with a Bosch Premium Power 24F from pep boys, comes with a 3yr replacement warranty,$115 plus tax with their online $20 discount.Great deal IMO.

Does using a not OEM battery depreciate the truck more so than a aftermarket battery or is that just silly talk?

Walmart has a 24F AGM made my Johnson Controls. I don't have it personally, but have had great luck with batteries from Walmart.

so what you're saying is that the battery has a plastic case and the plate is metal......the plate will bend slightly, right.....but it will still support the battery, right......and the tie down bracket will still fit

No the battery tray is plastic and should give enough with the 27F hanging over it, the hold down bracket will be fine.
