I know there is a thread out there on this but I'm being lazy.
Is there a way to fix the metal strip. So that it is black again. I saw there is a kit to replace the seals I think they are called on top too.

If I'm doing all this work to fix the one piece. I probably should replace everything.

Sorry if there is a thread already.

IMG_0706.png If you want it black, gonna have to mask it, prime and paint. I have the same tonneau cover and mine use to be faded like that but I use this cleaner about every two months.

I ain't going to hunt down the thread for you either, but you need to fix this properly with OEM parts. I'm a big fan of the OEM cover, it's worth fixing.

I took it off and unscrewed both sides, sanded, primed and repainted it, then put it back together. I also replaced the seals and didn’t realize when I ripped off old one a portion of the plastic stayed in the track and gave me issues until I realized it was there and fully removed it

    Thanks gentlemen!
I found the thread to replace the weather seals. He has a great video.
Just wasn't sure if that metal piece could be replaced or just painted.

    Thanks again!
