Whats the diameter of your pipe tip, and how far back does it get smaller? I will post a pic of my pipe with measurements how this mounts.

If I measured correctly, The diameter measures approximately 2 5/8 in.

It may work- how long is your flare section, and upstream from the flare diameter?

It looks like the tip clamp will go down around a pipe as small as 2-1/4”image.jpg

My flare length is also about 4 inches. Mine looks identical to yours.

Sorry this was so late, use the quote reply for replies (like this) otherwise the receiver does not get an alert.

I had the same issue - did you get it off? If not, you have to simply push out the two half pipe locking inserts (see post pic #6 above) towards the rear of the tip (slide them along the smaller diameter pipe- may need a bit of WD40) by placing a flathead screwdriver blade on the lip and tapping them out.

Yea after losening the clamp, take out the locking half circles by pushing them back out and then the chrome tip comes off.
