Hey everyone, So I replaced my clutch and flywheel with the Marlin heavy duty clutch kit and Marlin flywheel back in February. Since the replacement, I've had clutch chatter while driving and the starter grind when I try turning the truck on (sounds like when you turn the key when the truck is already on) I replaced the starter and the problem continues. The flywheel was not surfaced before being installed by the shop, which could have been an issue right?. Before the installation I asked the mechanic to replace the the rear main seal, which he didn't because he felt it was not necessary since it was not leaking at the time.(VERY FRUSTRATING) I called Marlin Crawler and they informed me the flywheel was the correct one for the truck and will not do much for me at this point. Five months later still have the starter grind, chatter, clutch slippage in every gear, and now a leak, which looks like the rear main seal. SORRY FOR THE VENTING
Now that the school term is over and have some extra time and money, I plan on pulling out all the parts and going back to factory TGP. My question is... where can I purchase a TGP clutch and flywheel online for my 2001 Tacoma 4WD 3.4L. I called the dealership and they want almost $500 for a new flywheel and $400 for a clutch kit:eek: I've looked around, but many sites have different prices. Can someone point me in the right direction please??? Thanks for taking the time to read.

I gotta really wonder just what you have in your Truck??

I really don`t think anything from Marlin is the problem Though we all get bad parts at times.

Mine works with no problems although I did install it myself.

I put my fly wheel on just like it came out of the box!!!

The fact they would not change your rear main seal has me wondering .

I am getting to the point the only thing I don`t do is front end alignments.

Get the part numbers you need and shop for the best price with shipping
