    Hello All
I was just curious if anyone else had experienced this issue, about a year ago my e-locker stopped working. I didn't get a chance to get a replacement until this past month. Here's what I found when I pulled the factory one out. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this failure...?

    Truck Details:
    2008 Tacoma TRD Off Road
    169k miles
New England truck (aka see's salt in the winter)

    New one going in:

The old one that came out... (tested removed motor wouldn't turn... New one turned mint.

Cleaned the old one up to rebuild.... Found this surprise..... Needless to say this one is trash... Guess I will have to paint the new one with some sort of coating to prevent this from happening again...

Ah yes, gotta love the salt and chemicals they put on the roads up here in the winter. The car wash loves me in the winter.

I wonder how well some of that air-cured ceramic type paint would hold up? It couldn't be any worse than the crap Toyota is using.

Ugh I don't even want to get into it about that crap coating toyota used. Literally took the truck to the dealer, peeled off a 12 inch section of it in front of the service rep and he said "Sorry it's already been coated so we can't help".
