OEM Emblems & Decals?

How much did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking...?

 

It was $20 for the badge replacement set and another $20 for the tailgate TOYOTA. I didn't use all the tailgate vinyls. Here's the quote that cboy sent me:
It’s $20 for the set.

Includes 3 tacoma, 1 small Toyota, v6 and sr5 badging.

If you want the 24” wide Toyota I can do that too for $20 shipped with the rest of the badges.

 

And, to quote a famous American, free beer is the best beer.

 

At those prices, I'm considering giving up the generic look...

 

Yeah I thought it was pretty decent. I wasn't sure if I wanted to just have the truck completely badgeless. But usually when taking off old badges, they leave a ghost effect in their place from paint fading. So I figured this was a good way to go. Plus I like the smooth look of vinyl vs the raised badges It always bugs me how water and dirt and wax get stuck behind them.

 

Not bad, will definitely be considering this.

I just orderd these from Amazon, $11- not an exact badge but very close to the cab ones. Maybe substitute an S for the 5? I'll post a pic after applying them.

Just to update this thread I finally got around to aplying the decals (bottom pic). Size is identical, would go with another S rather than the 5 if I had to do it again. Note that these are not vinlyl but raised chromed plastic similar in depth to the origionals.

 

should i be happy my SR5 did not have these

 

My laziness and frugality would prevent me from re-badging if mine ever fell off or I took them off for some reason (laziness also plays a part in that, too, lol)

If you can't tell it's a 1st gen Tacoma without the badges, I'm not going to talk to you - I don't need that kind of negativity in my life.
