I have a 2019 TRD Sport with Barcelona Red fender flares and would like to trade for the matte black ones that come stock on the TRD off road or pro. Mine are flawless, no scratches

I would also pay cash for a stock set of black fender flares in excellent condition. PM me if someone wants to sell theirs.

I got tired of waiting and plastidipped mine. I am pretty happy with the results.

I was wondering the same. I derped my skewp about a year ago and it's held up pretty good. The flares might be a different story though.......

That looks really good. How many cans of plasti-dip did it take to do the 4 fenders?
Did you do your rear bumper ends too or does the SR5 have an all black bumper?

So you just plasti-dipped over the original paint or did you do some sanding?

Anyone in Ft. Lauderdale area that is willing to trade silver for off road black fender flares? My silver fender flares are in excellent condition.

I got a private message about this already, so I will just cut and paste my reply to that here (edited for clarity):

I took the fender flairs off with a 10 metric socket. The tabs at the front of the two front flares are a PITA. Then I put the fender flares on a tarp in my garage. Next I cleaned them, first with a de-greaser and then with rubbing alcohol. Then I sprayed coat after coat of black plasti dip on them. I used about 3 full cans over the course of a day. Then I let them cure over night. I put them back on with 3M tape, plus all the original parts.

I got some questions on specific parts, so I am editing to add examples.

Normal black dip, no glossifier, just many many layers

I used something very like this to save my fingertip as there is a lot of spraying. It is not necessary, but it is nice

re attach with this, along with the original clips and bolts.

It wouldn't hurt to have these on hand in case you break a few

I made sure to get my feet in the pic in case I have to cross post to arfcom.

Don't make me come back and recommend a specific brand of rubbing alcohol or tarp!

If you didn't break a single clip then you must know some magic that I don't know, because I broke at least 1/3 of the clips. Word to the wise to to buy the extra clips from Amazon and then you won't have to sweat it when removing the old flares. The 3M tape is key. Best advice I got was to pull free a strip of 3M tape free BEFORE installation- Once on you can pull the string or tape exposing the adhesive to the truck.- In summary; Removal was a bitch (especially taking off residue of the old 3M tape) and installation was simple and satisfying.
