Hello! I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma and it had stock fog lights. I recently added an ARB bull bar and I want to be sure I'm doing the wiring correctly.

This is the OEM fog light wiring. It has two wires going into that connector. One is green and the other is white/black. Green is negative/ground, right?

This is the connections on the ARB fog light assembly. I know that white is positive and black is negative. I'm not sure why only the black wire has the clear seal on the end...

My question is: what is the best way to connect my OEM fog light wiring to my ARB fog lights?

    Thank you! :)

    Mike

I just ended up sniping off the Toyota factory connectors and the fog light connectors and used heat shrink butt connectors. I haven't had any problems at all and it was easy.

I am doing this right now for my All-Pro Apex bumper and a set of PIAAs. Is the green the ground? I cant find my voltmeter to check it.

I believe the black/white was technically ground. As I recall, I tried both ways and it worked either way. Good luck!

    White/black is ground.
Look at the connectors... one is male and the one with the cover is female. The other end of the harness will have the opposite set... the hot will have the clear cover so it does not short to the body when the light is unplugged.

Thank you very much gentlemen! Normally I wouldn't care about polarity when installing a bulb, but the PIAA 530s are LED and I don't want to fry something.

Spliced right into the stock wiring, soldered and heat shrunk for protection.

So this plug here will snap right into the OEM plug?

I confirm that the green wire of fogs is the positive and black/white wire is negative... I just finished installing my led lights withe fogs switch and wires.

Does anybody have radio interference when using the stock fog light wiring to hook up LED pods? I have radio interference when using my fogs but do not when using my light bar with it's own wiring harness.
