Lifted and leveled 3" with Boss leaf pack in the rear, OME 885 springs up front with uniball upper control arms and Billstein 5100 adjustable shocks on all four corners. LCE headers, k&n cold air intake, underdog racing development short shift kit and weighted shift knob.
Sounds like a hassle. I am not prepared to remove mine and send them back if I don’t have replacements on hand. I did email their tech support and explained my issue. Hopefully they will be helpful as I paid a small fortune for these!

updates quite frequently here are the recommended bulbs on the thread currently.
[These are currently the highest performing stock wattage bulbs on the market:
Philips Racing Vision +150 or +200 - Best low beam, reduced high beam output. See updated +200 review in post #3169. Followed by Osram Nightbreaker +200 in post #4066.

GE Lighting H4 NHX/BP2 Nighthawk Xenon Replacement Headlight Bulb, 2-Pack
GE Nighthawk Xenon +120 - Full performance high beam]

Are you looking for a better bulb than stock, then yes I would go with these bulbs. As mentioned in the other thread once you upgrade for more light you will have a shorter bulb life.
I think when you get your new housings in put your old bulbs in and see how you like them, then start experimenting with different halogen bulbs and when you find one you like stick with it.

Shop around: The prices vary at the dealer sites: sometimes quite a bit. So do the shipping charges. I found them a local dealer for: $227 before shipping. If I select free pick-up at dealer, there is no shipping charge. Beware: Some shops give you a good price on the part, and then make up for it with a high shipping charge.

Since I'm not very technical, I thought the easiest way to replace the bulb is when the housing is not installed yet. The way you are describing "experimenting" means swap different bulbs which I think is difficult if the housing is in place, right? I just want to buy the best Halogen bulb and get over with it

Nope not at all the hardest 1 is the passenger side. Just go look. You unplug pull black rubber weather seal unclip and they only go in 1 way. Once you see how to do it off the truck you'll understand.

When I replaced my OEM assemblies, the original part number with the melting DRL issue was all that was available. That was a couple years ago. I've not found any information that confirms the new assemblies with the old part number solves the melting DRL issue. Not wanting to experience a repeat of the cracked/melted DRL issue, I replaced the amber DRL bulb with a VLED Triton amber. They come with a resistor to fix the hyperflash problem. Mine are 700 lumens. It appears VLED now has a 500 lumen model or $55 less. The point being, another $110 will keep your new assemblies from resembling your ild ones with the melted DRL lens.

Me I live in the rural mountains very few lights, lots of wildlife in the road from the stinky skunk to big black bears. So I want to see.
    You'll be fine with those.

I finally had time to replace the headlights with help of my friend. They look nice, they even came with light bulb, so I haven't used the Osram light bulbs I bought, I will replace one to see the difference.
The issue I have is that one headlight looks down comparing to other, when turning the lights at night. Could it be that we by mistake turned the bolt that rotates the headlight vertically? where are the adjusting knobs for tacoma 2010?
