    While working on things in the engine compartment I have removed one of my Spiker struts at a time and the hood can still stay open. It just does not rise up as fast, OK I have to push it up, but once up it stays there. So even if one strut was to go bad it would not be a catastrophe while waiting to source another strut, either being OEM or aftermarket.

    I wished I had those links in Post #4 when I did mine. Thanks @5nahalf . I had considered assembling my own kit at the time but was not finding prices that beat the Spiker or Redline prices by much.

    I also enjoyed my communications, both before and after purchase from Spiker. No nonsense guy.
