Hello everyone. I'm trying to find out what the OEM measurements from hub center to fender lip (both front and rear) should be on a 2008 DCSB TRD 4WD Off-Road. I searched the forums up and down and can't seem to find anything "definitive."

The previous owner of my truck did a lift with spacers and blocks and I'm about to take them out and install coilovers, new leafpacks, etc. I don't want to exceed a 3 inches of lift, but don't know what my starting OEM measurements should be since there are spacers and blocks in it currently.

Anybody know what the measurements should be or where I might find them?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks a ton DoorDing. The only reason I'm concerned with the OEM measurements is because the kit I am installing specifically states "do not exceed 3" of lift" in big bold print. The only way I can be sure to not do that would be to compare against OEM measurements. (I think??)

    What lift are you installing?
I measured one that parks next to me and it was like 20 " in the front and 22.5 "in the rear I bought mine with a lift on it as well so I took measurements off one that parks next to me. Just to come pare before and after. There is a good tread on hear with OME full lift measurements

I bought the ToyTec Ultimate lift kit with the 5100 series coilovers, the 5160 rear shocks, and the OME Dakar leaf packs. (sway bar relocate kit, diff drop, and driveline shim(s) as well). I've found lots of good install tips here on TW and on ToyTec's site as well...just can't find anything about the OEM height measurements. But from what you're saying...it sounds like it doesn't really make a difference at the end of the day.

The other "can of worms" that I really am trying to figure out is going from my 265/75/16 to 285/75/16 on OEM TRD wheels...I've spent days...literally days researching that one on here. The best I can suss out is, buy upper control arms and not spacers...may or may not have to do some trimming, may or may not have to do the cab mount...guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

You will need wheel spacers for stock rims and 285's I have some 1.25" for sale I will sell them to you for 120 shipped. I ended up buying new wheels when I got 285's I'm at 3 " in front and I have done some trimming even with LR UCA and I also did CMC. I still need to bash on the pinch weld. If you don't go off road you will have much less trimming.
I only needed a little trimming for street driving.

Awesome, thanks a ton DoorDing and jqueener, I really appreciate all the info. Sounds like it will be best for me to get the lift and some UCAs installed and aligned and then take it from there. In the meantime...I've got a ton more reading to do. Luckily it has been very very slow at work this week, so I've had nothing but time.

The wheels that are on my truck (the best that I can tell) seem to be optional TRD wheels for the FJ. They are those dark grey 6 spoke (solid, not split) 16" wheels. The previous owner put them on there. Maybe they have a different offset and backspacing than Tacoma wheels? I don't know because I can't find any specs on them online, but you can be sure that I'll measure them when I pull them off the truck to install the lift.

In any event, I have time. Still plenty of tread life left on my current tires so I won't be on the market for tires until probably late spring of next year.

Again, to both of you...I really appreciate the help. This project/build is going to be fun!
