Yes, the blue wire is always hot and is connected to the 10A fuse. The red wire is the load (offroad lights).
I used a switched hot wiring vs Toyota switched ground so I could illuminate the High Beam indicator.
You can change the relay to 12V 40A relay with a built-in diode for high amp lights. Just increase the fuse amperage and wire gauge.

Thank you sir. So your high beam light on your cluster lights up when you turn your fogs on? Is that just for preference?

Yea, I used to have the 'fog light' switch on the center console. One time I forgot they were on when I got back on to the road. I was flashed a few times by oncoming traffic before I figured the fogs were on. The high beam indicator is a good reminder. The two diodes are to prevent voltage being feed into the daytime relay. I did not know if there would be a problem or not, so I installed the diodes to be safe.

Oh okay, I can probably bypass that step since I would notice the fog lights on.

I finished this mod yesterday and it is working very nicely. A thanks to digitalferg for the part #s. I already have a new stalk that did not work from my first failed attempt.

Here is how I wired the switch up.

Switch wiring.

This diode circuit illuminates the High Beam indicator in the Combination Meter when the offroad lights are on.

Back side of the switch. The two brown wires are the fog switch, pins 10 & 11.

My wiring harness did not have pins 10 & 11. I removed the brown wires from the connector housing and made a free hanging connector.

This is the relay I used. It is a 10A opto-isolated relay I found on Amazon. My offroad lights are LED and only draw 7A. I hear no inductor kick in the sound system when turning the offroad light on and off.

This the interconnect cable from the Combo SW to the relay. The exposed end of the wire was soldered. Otherwise it fit loose in the wire tap.
I could have saved a lot of time just hard wiring it all together, but servicing later is harder.

Relay placement on the right side of the steering column.

Combo SW, interconnect and ground wiretap on the left side.

Finished. Be sure to leave slack in the wires going into the dash. The wires tug back and forth when the steering column is moved up and down.

Thanks to you, I was able to get it done! I just used the harness that came with my fog lights and everything is working flawlessly. Looks OEM for sure.
