Grabbed an OEM inverter a while ago and never got a chance to hook it up. Trying to clean out the garage and finish some projects. I dont need an outloet in the bed, just looking to add some outlets for the back seat.

Anyone know if an 2005 SR5 DCLB would have the wiring harness needed to install a stock inverter?

I have the inverter and brackets, is all I would need be the switch and inverter?

I know there are much better inverters out there. I just want to use it to power some electronics in the back seat, and want it to look stock.

I did a search, but nothing mentioned if the wiring harnesses are present in non trd models.

Appreciate if anyone had any info or has noticed when they took their dash apart.....

My 08 Prerunner is SR5, I have the wiring harness/connector in the dash for the OEM inverter. The plug is connected to one of the blank switch covers on the left side of the dash. I haven't checked to see where the other end of the wiring comes out as I haven't tried to hook this up yet.

Wouldn't know, but I have the trd inverter. By now I'm sure you know it's under the center box/arm rest.

The box comes off easily, there are two cables/connectors there, and not much else. If you are wired for it, it should be really obvious.

I've actually bought a 1500 watt to replace it, and will likely have to upgrade the feed wire.

Btw. You want it to be OEM looking but on my truck there is only the bed socket. I'm going to add USB and 110 sockets to the back of my arm rest. Easily done with the replacement inverter but would require some splicing on the OEM inverter.
