I've seen multiple answers on this question, but on a 21 TRD Sport Premium the seats are a combination of leather and softex. Which parts are which? Leather calls for different care products than softex, I just would like to know for sure which parts are which (eg bolsters vs main seating area)

Bolsters and the back of seats are synthetic and the areas in the middle of the seats where you sit are leather.

You don't need a different cleaner for the leather.
All leather today is covered with vinyl.. Leather cleaning will never see real leather.303 is what people can use

Virtually all car leathers used today are finished with a clear protective coating that is applied for protection and durability of the leather. (maybe you have a pair of leather shoes, a leather jacket etc. And maybe you have noticed that on some of your leather goods that water will have an effect on some of the leather (the leather discolors temporarily) while your other leather goods remain unaffected. This is because the unaffected leather goods have also been clear coated just like your Taco leather has)

    A good test is
    put a drop of water
    water on your leather
if it beads and or rolls it's covered with vinyl. If it absorbs
    it's real uncovered leather

Maguires or Griot's Garage leather care. For all the surfaces inside the truck. Seats, dash, etc. Just not the inside of the windows. LOL.

I've read to use 303 on the softex, not a leather conditioner ie Meguiar's

A good test to drop a bead of water on your leather if it beads and/or
rolls, it's covered with vinyl. Water on uncoated leather will absorb.

No need for special leather conditioners as they will never touch the real leather just use 303 or anything else you would use on vinyl

So now that we all agree that the Tacoma uses real leather on parts of the seats (right?), I'm guessing the leather used is 'genuine leather" aka the lowest grade? No way they'll use top grain or full grain, right?

Toyota leather sucks these days. My Wife's 4runner leather is still like new as its made in Japan. One of the last decent Toyotas with good leather. My Tacoma has Clazzios and they are like new and way better than this new fake leather. I use Lexol on all the leather!
