OEM LED Headlight Conversion Harness

The grey connectors which are loose in the bag are to cap your unused sidemarker connectors. They look a bit like the turn signal connectors but they have different splines. You can't really screw that part up. It's to keep the OEM female connectors properly waterproof while you are not using them. Some (not many) might want to pull from one for a feed (e.g. switchpros parking light trigger wire). But most of us just cap them once and we're done.

 

Ok thx I'll resume this tomorrow. I'll get everything working, just fucked up some fender flare clips.

Yes that's awesome to include those, but they're the clips attached to the actual fender flares. I'm not good with plastic parts.

 

Thx for all the info, got everything in including both headlights I'll double check everything again tomorrow then reattach the bumper.

One question, with the four settings on the stalk "off, DLR, parking, low beams" with mine nothing happens when turned to DLR. Is anything suppose to happen? Everything else is fine including highs.

 

Must turn ignition on and drop parking brake to engage DRL.

Yeah, though I’m literally jogging home from USPS right now so you’re looking at tomorrow for shipping.

I plan to shut down the old school order forms on the 1st. But I can also do one off orders via DM for situations like this where square doesn’t work for someone. I figure most will pay with a credit card so square is preferable. It’s also a lot more comprehensive on data collection for me and potentially better as far as notifications for customers.

 

I’ve had a surprising number of problems with people entering incomplete addresses.

 

I have some cash sitting in Venmo but now that I think about it, I'll just use a card and get some points. Don't make a special trip to the PO just for my order, it'll be a little while before I'm ready to install. Thanks!

Oftentimes I wish everything was made of metal, not so much plastic. With your spare clips I got it back looking like OEM

 

I can confirm these harnesses are better than oem and 100% plug and play! Definitely worth the money! Also great customer support! Thanks @daveeasa

User X installed in his 2022, 2 weeks after purchase, at first nothing at all. Drove to visit 1 then 2 then 3 locations with progressive "improvement" where things "started working". The last thing to not work was the turns/hazards which are currently working well.

He described it as not working "when cold" which as I understood it was before the truck had been driven, not temperature related cold but engine cold.

It's a brand new truck so the battery being the root cause seems unexpected but one of the symptoms described, a single flash cycle and nothing after, could potentially be a low voltage situation?

He's 2 hours from me so I haven't seen any of this in person but just thought I'd solicit the user base in case someone else ran into it and might have something more useful to share. For the time being all is working well and he felt very confident all the connectors snapped together cleanly.

 

Cant say I have, so far everything is working as it should. Maybe to help compare, some of the other electrical things I also have installed myself are front camera, heated seats, ditch lights, hidden light bar, total tails 1 and V5s mirror turns.

 

Nope, strange. Double check connections/ fuses? Faulty battery seems plausible unless a short in headlight itself.

 

Has this person had their steering wheel off for anything? I could be stalk related

 

Finally very well caught up on these and able to ship next day. It was a busy last few months.

 

Purchased on Sept 21 and just secured/installed 21 LEDs. Dave's product is bulletproof. Thanks again!!
