OEM LED Headlight Conversion Harness

I make a DD SS3 backlight harness (but DD has one way cheaper for halogen equipped trucks). It pairs well with my OEM LED conversion harness with grille light output, they all use the same standard 3 pos AMP.

For my own truck I spent an entire evening doing the headlights and completely removed the bumper. Mostly for curiosity as I thought about a slimline (I have one now, still need to install it). For any normal person who would leave the bumper intact, it shouldn't take an entire evening. I _might_ be able to get it done in 90 minutes now, no way I could do 60. Also, I scratched my driver side a tiny bit installing it wrong (inside the metal edge rather than outside the metal edge. Complete bonehead mistake which was obvious as I went to button things up. The plethora of vidoes demonstrate proper installation, I just goofed. But it's a tiny scratch and it's way back on the side so it doesn't actually matter, my truck has other scratches.

I think after doing it once the fear is gone and it's straightforward to repeat the process.

DRLs are constant white--Ambers indicate when turning, hazards are on and when the truck is locked.

Unless you're talking about my Smoked Amber Raptor Lights? lol

Gotcha! I thought the DRL color was able to be amber. Thanks for clarity on its strictly only when turning

 

Yeah i plan on running 2 sets of Diode Dynamics SS3 wasn't sure if there was harness in the market or some splicing was required

 

@daveeasa You are the best, I really appreciate your harnesses and the fact your customer service is amazing after the one got damaged when my truck did. I'd only buy wiring from you if there is a choice between yours and someone elses!

 

Curious why I haven’t seen mention in this thread that the harness comes with one of the coolest stickers I’ve seen yet? Got my harness today, install took all of 10 minutes and everything works perfectly. Thanks for providing a great product for the community.

Hopefully this is right place. I bought a harness for a sr5 to led headlight two years ago and never installed and traded in truck. Have it new in box. Anyone interested?

I have a some questions regarding the harness with Grille lights. I am planning on getting this harness and I thinking I want to the Dual one as I would like to get DD SS3 fogs with the backlit option and Raptor lights in the near future. Is the harness completely plug and play for all these options? Meaning I do not have to do any cutting or splicing? If some cutting and splicing is needed on my end, on a scale from 1-10 how difficult would you say it is?

Thank you got getting back to me. I’ve decided I don’t want to do grille lights but do want have get the backlit SS3 DD fogs. Would the harness with grille lights work for this option?

 

Yes, the "with grille lights" can feed DD SS3 backlight or grille lights and I have splitters so you get both. I don't really have an option without grille lights that's only backlight.

 

Gotcha. So would I need to get a separate harness that attaches to your harness for the fogs?

That one.

Either dual grille oem led conversion + 2x12" or the cheaper options is single grille oem led conversion + dual output ss3 1x12" + 1x60" and you have the minor cosmetic imperfection of a wire across the grille.
