OEM LED Headlight Conversion Harness

My apologies for the delayed response. Ok this makes sense so I can bypass connections if I don’t have those lights quite yet. Will place order tonight ! Thank you for the clarification!

I have 2021 TRD Off Road with halogens and the LED driving lights (all stock light setup). This harness will let me upgrade to the OEM LEDs, correct?

Hey Dave thought I'd do a dry fit harness wise with my 17 before my 22 comes next month. I followed your quote above and have this one open end connector not in use with no cap. Is this for maybe the raptor lights, or am I missing something. I have DRL on the 17 and will on the 22. Scratching my head here. Thanks Al

 

That is the DRL connector. It’s female on the conversion harness.

You need it. If your truck is a sport and has the L shaped DRL board, the headlights would have a female connector. Find it and unplug and attach to conversion harness. It’s a pigtail off the headlight vs a snap in bulb.

Yes.

The TRS harness bundles all grounds together. So if any is backwards you blow a fuse.

I prefer using a single ground so it works or it doesn’t and no blown fuses. If you have the low beams reversed it’s just always low beam off. Swap and it’ll work properly. Safer in my book.

 

The technical word for the metal thingy is terminal and in this case male terminal aka pin. Female terminals are also called sockets. Cliff Claven approves this message.

Color match all wires with one exception. Low beams are white with color matched stripe to solid color on OEM side. I do it that way because otherwise there are two blue wires on the passenger side and a greater chance of me making a mistake building them. It also offers some symmetry with the low beams so you know them from high beam in addition to the 1 wire vs 2.

 

Question for you Dave.... Do you make a version of the stage 1 Mesa taillight kit or know of anyone that does? Seems Mesa have been out of stock forever on these kits. Thanks Al
