I have a 2008 Tacoma and have been considering the switch to LED lighting for the headlights, fog lights, brake light, and tail lights. A few questions:

    1) Are Toyota OEM LED lights/assemblies "plug-and-play"?

    2) Can I swap them out one at at time (as I acquire the assemblies) or should they be swapped all at the same time?

As I understand it, LED draws less energy so the wiring for the factory-installed lighting should be more than adequate. Maybe I'm overthinking this?

The only OEM LEDs for 2nd gens are the brakelights. afaik, they're plug and play.

Don't swap in LED's intp your headlights or fogs. Very bad idea. You won't be happy and neither will oncoming traffic. See the Ultimate headlight thread....

Lots of plug and play options out there, but be sure to do your research first. Otherwise you'll blind oncoming traffic and/or just plain have poor light output.
