No issues on OEM lift kit here. Several road trips, gravel roads, trails but no rock crawling yet and NO vibration issues. Not a huge functional increase for me yet, more appearance which is improved. We will see what the rest of summer and fall provide for off road and camp. Isn’t that vibration issue usually an off road tire wheel balancing issue? Talk to the Taco service guy at the dealership, or parts guy…. They will give you the lowdown from shop perspective. Good luck lifting.

It's an easy choice for someone, like myself, to get a factory lift. I know nothing about working on trucks, nor would i even know where to find a reputable shop. Work is guarenteed by toyota, warranty, cooler grill, better ride than stock, and less hassle with having to research and ask tens of thousands of ppl on this forum "what lift should I get" or "will these tires fit?" Lol

Edit: I got to keep my fogs. I just told them to save me the hassle of reinstalling them, then he laughed and said alright fine

I'm hoping it'll be a similar experience for me. I've seen videos online of dealers advertising the kit and not installing the fog light covers. I definitely don't want to spend the time reinstalling them.

Hot damn! Doing this for the warranty? My dealer purchased and installed my 2.5” Ironman 4x4 FCP for $1,250 total. Warranty maintained with my dealership and Ironman.

What did you do with your stock TRD Pro suspension if you don't mind me asking?

My fog lights were not touched, I ask before they ever did the lift to make sure . I think only certain states are listed on the kit with some law about the height of fog lights? I would just make sure with the dealership doing it before I ever scheduled an appointment.

There is no way. That kit alone is more than that...

eBay. I never wanted to get rid of them tbh, but (very long story short) they needed to be rebuilt so I instead took a chance with the FCP and won’t look back.

You aren’t entirely wrong, but with the right sales and friends (I know the dealership GM and Ironman always has sales), you can get really close to what I paid.

Damn you got hooked up! Even at 30% off last year I still paid just shy of $2000 just for the FCP kit. If the dealer installed everything for free you still got 45% off and according to Matt at Ironman they have never discounted any lift kit that much to individuals. So either your Toyota dealer is an Ironman dealer or your dealer paid you to install your lift. That's friendship!

The best price I got was 1961 OTD, worst was 3250 plus tax. It's like a car deal! Lol ,My dealership gave me the best deal as they matched a price. They will reduce the kit and labor. What made a difference for me was showing the Toyota press release that said it takes 4 to 5 hours. I got charged for 4.

Everyone buying this is getting ripped off. I didn’t want the pro grille, so i just bought the shocks for $300 & change & 4-5 hours of time installing them & a headstrong aal myself. It’s not very difficult at all. Anyone could get a MUCH better suspension for what y’all are paying for this.

Sounds like this particular dealership's installers should be avoided imo.

Absolutely. People get crazy when they hear “warranty” when in fact the Bilstein warranty covers a lifetime of defects , vs Toyotas 12mo/12k miles. In addition, any reputable shop will offer a warranty on their labor as well, same as Toyota. Its such a straightforward installation, you’d really have to be bad to botch the job. And Id trust a place like 88 Rotors who specializes in lifts before I’d trust a dealer who does them every so often.

@Arby99, there's nothing wrong with the OEM lift kit if installed properly.

Personally I'd go Bilstein 6112s and 5160s with a headstrong AAL with a local professional installer for about the same money. Which is a waaay better suspension setup.

Ohhhhh so you didn't do the rear leafs or the UCA's. Literally powder coat springs and install coilovers. That makes a lot more sense.

That being said...take that sway bar off!! I ditched mine and the ride is amazingly smooth with the FCP shocks.

Ah! That makes so much sense now. I've been so tempted to take it off, but the suspension has been such a pain in the ass since I started messing with it.

What's going on with it? I found that the foam cell shocks rebound so slowly, it was causing a lot of cross rebound through the sway bar. I ripped it off and have next to no body roll but all the articulation in the front.
