I've ran that mostly on my last Tacoma due to their good rebates. Unfortunately, it would take 150,000mi to know anything. Worked fine though. Project Farm showed good results. Probably not worth the additional price though... The non ultra is $22 per 5qt jug at Wally world.

@DTaco18 Thanks!! I appreciate the heads up. Definitely agree time will tell. The Project Farm video was actually one of the things I saw that made me look at Pennzoil more closely.

Trying to do the best I can to take care of my Tacoma I’ve had for a year. It’s a 2020 and actually hit 20,000mi on test drive before I brought it home.

I was really lucky with insurance money to be able another great truck after some guy clobbered me on a sunny Tuesday, a year ago. The rat bastard killed my 06 Tundra, the 1st vehicle I ever bought new, with a new frame from the recall and was only 147 miles from getting to 300,000. Still feel guilty because I treated her pretty bad too…. and I never got her that store bought car wash/ oil changed I promised her for the big 300k

So this one’s at 40,000 right now….going to see if we can make 400,000 minimum. Thanks again.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
it’s cheaper to buy 5 quart jugs of Mobil 1 at Wally World… they are usually around $23-25 each. Buy two and save the remaining 4 qts for next time. If you belong to Costco, they sometimes place the Mobil 1 6 qt box on sale for $32 or their Kirkland brand with two 5 qt jugs for $30.

buy in bulk vs the single qt bottles.

Definitely makes sense. Got bombarded by Amsoil- profiteers on a could forms that i ask a few questions. Think I knee jerked after all that and went with the fancy Ultra platinum. I am generally border-line anti- fancy, for example I coach baseball for a living. And few articles read and a couple dozen YouTube videos, called my old Tundra’s mechanic etc. I went fancy.

Penz platinum or Mobil 1 might be the way to go, in terms of value and the return over the along haul.

Just replaced my cabin air filter this past weekend with a wix. It appeared made just as well as the oem. I wasn't aware these filters can get pretty nasty vs the ones from our prius.
