Hi there! I suspect I'm not the only person in this forum with a growing pile of OEM parts which have been removed from my truck, which I think have some value if needed. I can look up new part prices via a website like TRDshop.com, but I was curious how you might recommend pricing OEM parts for resale?

I dont understand. What does "<50 BST posts" mean and why would asking about part values lead to a forum ban?

Hmm, ok thanks for the explanation. I dont post a lot and only browse the Gen 3 forum as this is my first Tacoma, so the 50 post minimum is kinda discouraging. I did go ahead and edit my original post and remove the parts list so maybe this post wont be misconstrued as an attempt to skirt the forums rules.

In my experience I’ve found not as much demand for OEM stuff as for aftermarket stuff. Plus the market is much smaller as most people who need an OEM part will buy one on-line or from a dealer as opposed to searching CL for say an OEM taillight I have a shelf in my shed where all the OEM stuff which has been removed from my trucks and bikes seems to end-up. Even when I price something at a give away price I rarely get any takers.

Most OEM suspension etc gets given away for free as it really has zero value on here. Take off wheels and tires maybe $500.00 or so, not much interest in them. You want to get possibly good money for it, don’t bother listing it on here. Go to Fleabay, Scamlist (Craigslist) or as mentioned Facebook Marketplace. Those places list shit like it’s gold at MSRP and sit on it forever until they get real with themselves and come back down to earth.

I guess there aren’t many TW forum users looking to keep their truck stock, right?

Makes sense. I dont have a ton of OEM parts leftover, and I havent even decided whether or not I want to sell them, but I have a lot of selling experience on both Craigslist and FB Marketplace.

It just depends. My Taco is probably 98% stock and works pretty well for the light-moderate fire roads and trails I like to run in it. However I have other off-road vehicles. If my Taco were my only off-road toy then I would probably be more into modding it.
