A couple of MaxTrax boards for the TRUSS rack.

Got a Glock 19X for traveling. Will probably get a CaliRaised console MOLLE with a Stinger gun mount.

The MOLLE rack arrived today. I originally thought about a Stinger magnet mount but will probably get an actual MOLLE compatible holster.

Sticker stuck to the side of the console temporarily.

Installed the MOLLE console rack over the weekend.

Really wish they out a bend in the driver’s side plate.

Still waiting for an AlienGear left side MOLLE shapeshift holster to come in.

Howdy, quicksand owner here, but I'm always a sucker for looking at the cements.

Great truck build thus far! Got a little derailed with the gun mods, but I like it either way, lol. Thanks for the worthy mod list on page 1. I went in on some chrome delete kits thanks to your information and pictures, splitting what I did and didn't like from AJT with MESO.

Will keep my eye on this thread to see where it all ends up. Cheers

Is it "normal" to mount those roto's with the spout facing down? For some reason, that makes me nervous.

They are gen 2 cans. They interlock at the bottom. The cap also has a locking mechanism to keep it from backing off. It allows me to have two cans but with only one lock.

Load panels and Pelican are here. Panels are on. Pelican goes on tomorrow. I have a specific idea for mounting hardware. Hopefully it goes good.

EDIT: This method didn’t work for shit….do not use.

CAVEAT: the rubber feet/seals actually work great in a different mounting configuration in later pages)

Pelican 1750 case and my mounting hard ware.

I’m hoping it allows for an easy(ish) mount/unmounting.

Hardware from bottom up on load panel (per bolt):
    • 5/16”x3”-18 carriage bolt
    • Prinsu load panel
    • 3/8” fender washer
    • 5/16”-18 nylock nut
    • 3/8” fender washer
    • 3/8”-5/16” rubber grommet/boot
      • Will mount to 3/8” hole drill into case
    • 3/8” fender washer
    • 5/16” screw knob
    Some items of note:

I made sure to get the stainless steel carriage bolt to hopefully protect against rust. I also got the rubber grommet/boot to secure in the holes in the bottom of the case to maintain water tightness and it will let me put a different bolt with washer in there with the knob to keep it water tight whenever I take it off. Finally, the entire stack will be screwed down to the base. Even though there looks like a big gap between the nylock and the top washer. The nylock will keep the bolt in place as I drop the case on from above and provide the necessary clearance the occurs because the load panel is about 1/4” below the cross bars.

    ...hopefully
    :fingerscrossed:

So best made plans and all that...

had to change up the mounting hardware a bit:

    (from bottom to top)
    • 5/16”x3”-18 carriage bolt
    • Load panel
    • Fender washer
    • 5/16” screw knob
    • 3/8”x5/16” rubber grommet
    • Case
      • Holes drilled out to 7/17”
    • Fender washer
    • 5/16” screw knob

I think it sits a bit too high. There’s a bit of whistling at highway speeds. Not too bad, though. I usually blast my radio and it doesn’t overpower that.

    other notes:
    • The rubber grommet/boot plan seems like a great idea! Although make sure to drill 7/16” holes. I had originally drilled 3/8” holes by didnt take into account the fact that they expand in the holes a bit when the bolt goes through. This cause them to tear while trying to push the case onto them.
    • When mounting the grommets/boots, use a bit of lithium grease and they go in super easy.
    • Instead of using the nylock, I swapped it for another screw knob. This made locking the bolt down easy but pushed the case another 3/4” in the air. I will eventually be using the original nylock setup later to see if the lower height reduces the wind noises.

    Decided to make a change:

I'm going to sell the Prinsu and swap in an @upTOPoverland Alpha roof rack. The Prinsu has been good, but I'm thinking the UTO will fit better with the bed rack aesthetically. I'm also wanting to add some side lights and the upTOP seems like a cleaner/more functional setup. Plus I'm hoping some of the wind noise will be knocked down a bit.
