OEM Predator steps

Is there a way to tell OEM from the replicas? Is there a serial number stamp?

 

They have a part number decal on the bottom

 

I found out the hard way with mine being powder coated black steel. Their suppose to be aluminum. My dealer sort of pulled a fast one after we agreed to split the difference in cost for the predator steps when i ordered the truck...he must of found some cheaper steel one's to install.

 

One of the dealers out here sells the knock offs as the real ones. They even have them displayed on the wall. Super shady

 

I guess if their a lot less money for a similar product, thats one thing, but to claim these are the original toyota predator steps, thats just wrong. Problem i had i never specified i wanted the original ones saying i wanted to have predator steps on the truck when it arrives. After the agreed price, i guess i i got what i paid for. Imo, these dealers will beat you one way or another.
