Are the 19's different than the 20+ Pro tailights?

Interesting. I went with some Unique Style Racing ones because I thought the pro's had that red surrounding portion from the brake to the side marker and I wanted an all black setup.

    20220114_154723.jpg

I had no idea the newer OEM ones were the same as this. The USR's were cheaper and are well built - surprisingly. No fogging, no leaking, nothing odd. I was impressed. I thought for sure I'd be making adjustments and adding silicone. Nope. Good to go. My pet peeve is terrible lighting and especially terrible tail lights. Like some vehicles that just have extended light setups with only 30% of it actually being used. Makes no sense. Anyways...

I also just did the Meso Custom Tail V1. I will have to agree with others, this might be there best product. What a difference. The stock setup was just terrible. Not only did it look bad, but the design and function of the lighting was poorly implemented. What a refreshment it was to swap to the Meso setup. I can actually see when backing up now and the turn being on the bottom and amber are really nice. Mainly because there is no amber visible until your indicator goes on. If you don't know already, here is the setup from MESO:

The V1 and V2 are the same but brighter lights. TBH, not worth the extra money or having to cut the housing to fit the V2 reverse bulbs. Also, if those reverse bulbs go, you are going to shell out some cash because they are expensive... like $140. So just get the V1.
    Meso Total Tail Stage 1

Don't even think about it. Do it ;)

Funny. I went to check because I've never noticed a difference and there is. They just added a black vertical line in the mid section but everything else looks the same.

I've wanted a set of Pro tails for ages... Best taillight option out there imo. Can't find anyone south of the border willing to ship to Canada at my cost, and prices in my neck of the woods are not realistic.

I bought those and sent them back. Wasn't happy with the build quality at all. Could see where they were all glued together on the edges with some white material that stood out like a sore thumb. Sucked it up and bought OEM's afterwards and they're mint!

IMG_20220128_153913975.jpg IMG_20220128_153913975.jpg I know I'm late to the game but I got a set from a local guy who used them for a month and then sold his truck. I scored them cheap, as I intinally was getting them for a friend truck who later changed his mind. They were new on Amazon for $240 and came with great reviews. So for nearly nothing I got them for a steal, put a coat of Cermaic coating and they are like new. So from what I can see on Amazon and other pics, is they are a pro style, gets great reviews, fit and finish is perfect. So are these the new style or the pre 2020 Pro lights or just someething different? I know they are not OEM but for the price I paid its all good. I see now they are the older style but I like them. I added the LED backup lights a few months back.

Those are pre 2020 taillights. No real differences other than the black vertical line on the side of the light

Thanks, that what I was thinking too, just didn't know for sure. I love the new look, didn't really have an interest in these until I saw a set listed and my friend changing his mind with the help from his wife.

Interesting. That sucks tho. I know a couple other people who have purchased the URS ones and had no complaints. Sounds about as expected though and looks like you got that set, lol. If I would have known the newer pro ones had the black instead of the red portion I'd have gone with them instead. Hopefully these ones I got work out. So far so good. Gonna seal behind them up because when I took them out to out the meso setup in there was TONS of road debris and dirt in there as well as water. Snows alot where I live. But never seen the rear end be so exposed to not have a decently sealed tail gate housing. So I'll see what I can do to keep the crap outta there.

I was hoping they'd work. I've run DEPO headlights before without issues but for whatever reason the tails I received were made late on a Friday right before a strike lol. They were awful. Can't beat OE though. Now I have to find someone to buy my O/R's with the chrome strip.

I put LED bulbs in the tail/brake light and they work great. When my 2nd light burned out, one each side, in 16 months of ownership, figured it was time for LED there.

lol, same. Unfortunately, nobody wants the gray background ones. I've had someone who was looking for black innards with the chrome, but not gray. Why Toyota? WHYYYY! lol.

Yea I think all the OR's come with a gray (it's very dark). The limited ones are black. And the OR's are the no chrome black.
