Opinions on the oem pro taillights versus any aftermarket. Trying to get rid of the chrome.

Not a big fan of aftermarket longevity. But if you're looking for "style" for 12-24 months they are the way to go.

That’s what I figured. I just wish Meso had their stage 2 in stock

Put in a pre order for Meso's new tails or wait until they come out and there will be a lot of people selling their Pro Tails.

I personally prefer the look of the Pro's over any of the aftermarket lights. Plus oem light plastics usually last longer

If it were me and my truck was still under the 3/36 warranty I would go with the OEM pro tails. Wouldn't want to give them an excuse to point at aftermarket tails if I have an electrical issue. But that's just me.

I bought some aftermarket ones first for about $165 and the seams looked like shit (where the plastic is fused/melted together around the edges) and they had uneven gaps that were on one side and not the other. They only looked good from over 10 ft. away. I returned them and got OEM for about $300 and they’re 100xs better.

OP just buy some DEPO brand. Been rocking them for over 3 years now with no issues.

Had the same brand on my Acura for 8 years with no issues.

All aftermarket taillights look kinda wack. The only exception is DEPO oem style lights and the new Morimoto/Meso taillights. OEM FTW

$650 for those Meso Morimoto lights? Yikes.

When it comes to stock configuration lights ( headlamps, tail lamps, marker and signal lamps ), factory options are the only options in my opinion. I prefer something that is DOT approved and well tested for the vehicle. You do not get that quality out of most aftermarket lights.

OEM if you want quality, Aftermarket is price if of concern.

ive never had an aftermarket light that didn’t leak. The LED set ups always burn out within a year or two.

According to CarID aftermarket like spyder, winjet, etc. are DOT approved. Somehow I don’t believe it.

Does anyone have a link for the pro tails or the part numbers?

Also, are the pro tails LED and if so, why would the Meso stage 2 be used?

    Thanks,

Pro tails are not LED, meso stage 2 is used for brighter LEDs, different, more full light patterns, and turn signal relocation.

Thank you for the information. I’m assuming anyone of the year models will fit in a 21…
