Anyone had this before and know of a fix?

I moved the truck today and noticed I had no rear view camera. The screen was black and flickered a couple times. I tried cycling reverse a few times and no change. A short time later, I noticed had almost no volume coming from the speakers. Regardless of source, the sound can be heard popping slightly and touching the screen creates popping noises as well.

Can all these audio problems be caused by a faulty camera? Anyone had anything like this before? I really don't want to go aftermarket so I'm hoping for a cheap solution. Thanks in advance TW!

Sounds like a crap stereo considering the symptoms of the camera and the stereo sound, touchscreen issues. You can unplug the camera and see if the stereo is still screwed up.

Thanks that was my thought as welln unplugging the camera had no impact. Picking up a second-hand unit this afternoon.

I disassembled the faulty unit hoping to find some corrosion or some other obvious point of failure but the pcb are clean. Oh well, now I’ve got some spare parts for this junk.
