I've got the Apogee rear bumper. Had it on for about 5 months. I can confirm that both the BSM (Blind Spot Monitors) and the Parking sensors work just like on the OEM bumper. I made a post on the Apogee thread showing my install.

Having taken off the rear OEM Bumper on my 2020 TRD OR 4x4, (with the towing option) I totally disagree--at least for OEM bumpers with towing option. The OEM bumper wth the towing option will definitely not crumple or dissipate energy any better than my new all-steel one BECAUSE the OEM one is basically all beefy steel covered in plastic (except for the end caps on either end which have almost no structural strength at all so they won't dissipate any energy either). It weighed almost the same as my new steel bumper.

    Original poster here.

I decided to re-install my OEM bumper. I specifically purchased tech package trim for the BSN, and I couldn't justify the aftermarket bumper. The OEM bumper fits my weekend warrior lifestyle for the time being.

    Thanks for everyone's input.

    None....yet..
Reading about how the truck could get totaled from a steel bumper kinda scared me. If I do pull the trigger, apogee it will be so I can keep my tech package.

Glad you made a decision. Some of us (me) can get stuck in analysis paralysis, that aint fun.

Then your new bumper must be garbage. The OEM bumper (with tow hitch) is flimsy as hell. It’s actually laughably weak.
