does anyone here know the exact measurement just the rear view camera itself? I would like to replace it with a better quality aftermarket camera. I am trying to find a camera that will fit in the stock location.

I'm assuming you already have an OEM camera if you are asking this, so at the risk of sounding like an a**hole, why don't you take yours out and measure it. that's pretty much the only way anybody else would be able to tell you.

With that out of the way, the oem camera has the built in bracket thing that holds it to the handle, so you would have to fab up a way to hold the aftermarket camera in place. people have done it before though, search around and im sure you can find some examples. I don't really know why you would want to get rid of the oem camera anyhow, seems like a quality picture to me. I had a crappy eclipse camera that somebody else put on before me. I switched it out for the OEM handle and camera and its much better.

One last thing, the factory camera runs on a 6v feed. most aftermarket cameras will probably be 12v. just keep that in mind.
