OEM Roof Rack Repair-PSA

    After 11 years of use I heard my OEM racks rattling. The Torx screws holding both the hinge and lock sides on both racks had loosened. Using a T15 and T25 I was able to easily tighten down the screws. It is only about a 3 min. repair and has solved the problem.

    I don't know the screws would have continued to loosen & then drop off, but this is such an easy fix I recommend checking on older units as I am sure they were easing out and not noticed until the rattling was heard.

    A little blue loctite might be a good measure to prevent this from happening again
