I'm thinking of getting the OEM roof rack. I am in the market for a canoe and I will need it. I like that the rails can be stowed when not in use.

I found one here and $210 seems pretty damn reasonable to me considering the dealer wants more than $340 or so.

    Any thoughts?

Nevermind. That site wanted $55 to ship. I got it on Amazon from a Toyota dealer in Dayton Beach, FL for $228.95 with no tax and free shipping.

I just installed mine today that I bought on Amazon from the same dealer you bought yours from. Fast delivery and easy to install. I did it in about an hour. The stow away feature is great and it looks great! I think you'll be happy you went OEM.

Yup. Took me about 45 minutes but my buddy was handing me stuff, so that helped.

I've already used it to carry my canoe a few times. Works great with foam blocks and straps. The weight limit was said to be 75 lbs, but the canoe weighs 89 and I had zero issues.
