I have been having issues with rotors from autozone and other auto parts stores. I guess I'm going to try oem rotors. Anyone know the part # for 04 prerunner 3.4L? And estimate cost of em ?

well if you don't find the oem ones, buy a rebestos rotor.. ive used there brakes on everything ive ever drivin, with the exception of brembo on my go fast car... rabestos makes a super good rotor and excellent pads...

Try a brembo blank rotor . Do a search for them and you can find them pretty cheap.

Stick to oem. Toyotas love them. Make sure you tighten with star pattern. Some rotors warp easily by improper tightening.

    Massive surprise.

Try eBay or Camelback Toyota for good prices on OEM. Or go with the options at Rockauto.

A little off topic as I havent done rotors on my truck yet. But on the 1st gen 4wd manual locking hubs, do the rotors pull right off or does it require removal of the hub?

I know they aren't OEM, but like another person said try going with Brembo Blanks. I got mine from tire rack and they were pretty cheap, a little less than $100 including shipping for the pair shipped to my house. I previously had the factory rotors on my truck for over 120,000 miles. I considered going OEM replacement again but could not justify the price difference. I *think* dealers wanted something outrageous like $200 for the pair.

I've been using them for about 15,000 miles so far with OEM Toyota pads, no complaints. Quiet, no shakes, hassle free. Just how I like my women

Hard to go wrong with a brand like Brembo, but I still prefer OEM for things like rotors, pads, coils, ignition & electronic components.

OP, eBay had OEM rotors for $135 shipped to your door for a pair:

Replaced my rotors 3 times in 17 yrs. It is a 1st. gen thing. Oem is only 25.00 more per rotor. I am prime example of sticking with oem. I got some stories and experience on this topic.

I have also become a believer that Toyota OEM is the best option for these trucks. There are very few exceptions.
