Sweet. Doing a reverse search of those part numbers at toyodiy.com shows those part numbers were used on quite a few different drive train lineups. Interesting.

Amazing, you read my mind and answered me with part #'s before I could reply!!

You just changed the world (of tacomas!) pardner, wow! Looking up the part on toyotas part site does list all Tacomas, but adds the SRunner indeed see the circled green below.

So, do they look different in person and how can I tell?

Is it me, or does the diagram linked with the part above also show the SRunner lower bumper valance part below or is this a stock Tacoma part from an earlier year?

Yeah you just missed me by a few minutes. That same part is used on all those models.

Yeah, it looks as if they are all interchangeable. Also @2Runner I may have posted up some wrong info in an earlier reply. Just to confirm you said the part numbers you have were from a 1999? Is that correct?

I do believe that smooth fender flare comes white when ordered and would then need paint matched by a shop like any body panel. The part number images, if not a drawing for a diagram, all looked like this 61n56L2tH7L._SX425_.jpg

I tried this before I had an SRiunner vin in hand, and it didnt work out for me...

So they are different parts than what I bought but yet they are not specific to SRunners after all, quite interesting info indeed! Can you /anyone describe the difference though dimensions or appearance wise to round out our knowledge other than part numbers, how are they really different? Are they even narrower it almost looks like? So we have 3 Tacoma fender flare sizes to pursue from now we are learning? Narrow, medium, wide?! Sure would like to see a pic with all of them next to each other and comparisons. Wouldnt you all?!

This is becoming the ultimate source of fender flare info really great stuff here, squashing the BS that has spread throughout the internet once and for all.. SRunner only, cant get em anymore, etc. but looky here at that add to cart button (ok, ignore the $300 price tag just a moment)!

I am really appreciating the community very much all, thank you so much for all the input!!

Ahhh, thanks for confirming here I was thinking SRunner land had engulfed me a moment there and now I am coming back down to earth!

Whoa, now that looks way flatter than what I got. Interesting the photos of the various flares dont look very different.. but then again it sounds like there was a lot of overlap for all these parts over the years and hard to tell what part you are looking at anymore!!

Yeah it's kinda not fair, or just very hard to discern lol, to try and figure out how many of each of that specific drivetrain was produced. Those models all share that part but can we see how many were manufactured? It may be the type of thing you have only 50 custom orders over the years that selected them with that drivetrain but Toyota only made it specifically with the S-Runner.... Wait a minute there were some model years listed like 96 that used that part number???
Okay, maybe flare existed prior but Toyota put it standard on the S-Runners?

Now that I am shopping around with part #'s, I just found some more info to toss into the vault for visuals.

It has part numbers on the back alright, and looks like fiberglass since it is white.

And the rear view to take a look at the mounting tabs, is this missing some tabs? They described it with no damage but seems to have less than I would imagine.[IMG]

So SRunner flares are out there for all to be had, brand new or used!

If I piece together a set of these for not too many dollars, maybe I will get them going so I can compare in person and of course give back to the "family"!!

Ok did more research and had to jump in my Delorean and go way back to find some of my info. I know for a fact that the Toyota part numbers for a right front 75871-35900 and left front 75872-35900 fender flare are confirmed to be for an S-Runner. These will come in bare white and need to be painted.

    Ahhh yes thank you again!

So how can we summarize all this great info? Am I understanding correctly now there 3 versions of fender flares that fit all generations?

    Early Taco/SRunner -Narrow
    Limited Color Keyed - Medium
    Late 4wd/Prerunner - Wide

If this sounds right and we get part numbers we can get it all together once and for all, we got these fender flares right where we want em now guys!!
