OEM System from TacomaBeast

Has anyone installed the supposedly Plug&Play OEM audio system from TacomaBeast?

My vehicle is a 2-gen DoubleCab. The 2-gen has separate tweeters. The tweeters I got just have loose wires with some kind of a pin soldered to the ends; they look like they should slide into some kind of plug (which I didn't get).

I tried watching their installation video but all their videos, even the ones supposedly for the 2-gen, are all about the 3-gens which have an entirely separate setup.

So the bottom line is there is no way (that I can see) to connect the new tweeters.

About 1:45 is tweeter installation. If your replacement tweeter doesn't have the connector for the factory plug, you got the wrong tweeter for your setup.

 

Yep I saw that. And my tweeters do not have a connector on the end. I'll get up a picture tomorrow.

 

Well. Got some good customer service for a change.

I fired off an email to TacomaBeast yesterday. They responded this morning and said that would forward my concern to OEM Audio Plus. Less than a half hour after I got TacomaBeast's reply I got a call from OEM. He referred me to a video on how to install the tweeter. He explained that Toyota doesn't sell the tweeter connection by itself so I have to use a pick tool to remove the factory wires from the stock connector, and plug the new teeter wires into it.

At least now I have an explanation. The OEM guy is also going to email me a PDF file with some instructions.
