I ordered from rrentop last week and received my letters today. Couldn't help but install them right after opening the envelope. It was tricky at first (and the T was probably the hardest letter) but went smoothly about half way through. This is a quality product and an awesome touch to my truck. I got the reflective black (first photo is with flash). Depending on the angle it looks black to silvery in daylight and obviously reflective under light at night.

I got my sill protector letters today from @rrentrop. Packed well, clear instructions and a practice "T" Came out looking good. Wet method is an absolute must.

 

Ok, so now the listing includes the black with silver/white reflective vinyl like the member had you specially make for him? If so, I will order very soon because that is exactly what I want, the silver/white black reflective vinyl letters as opposed to the gold glow black reflective letters. I am also scoping out your sill fill ins as well as glovebox letters.......just gotta decide color on those last two.

 

No, I'm still using the same reflective vinyl. I just modified the description to state "bright golden white" under the highest intensity light (i.e. camera flash) to clarify the difference. The Oracal reflective vinyl is great vinyl but is more expensive, not as pliable, and more time consuming to product in quantity than what I am currently using so I would have to raise my price on those. However, I can cut two sets for the price of one for most any type of vinyl that is customer supplied.

 

Oh ok. I'm looking for the above type vinyl to be able to send it to you (if you agreed to do such) to have it cut, but it's out of stock, so I'll just hold off on that for now. But the other two items I look to buy soon. The hard part is color choice, as all of your products look awesome!

I have these on my tailgate and think they look great. They went on easily and appeared to be of very good quality. I ordered them direct from BDTrims before learning about Rich Rentrop's products. I have ordered some other decals from Rich Rentrop...(@rrentrop). He corresponded with me directly and was a GREAT help! I ordered his Tacoma w/mountain decals. I had debadged my truck and these were the replacements for the front door emblems. However, since I don't have a TRD, I mounted them where the TRD emblems normally go. I think they look great in that position and have had several inquire as to what Tacoma edition do I have. Rich said I was the only one of his customers that he was aware of that put them at the rear of the bed (bottom of decal 4" down from bottom of bed insert lip and 2" forward of the farthest point of the tail light lens...in case anyone gives a sh!t).

 

Another vote for rrentrop, I installed the reflective white letters on a black truck. They look great and were easy to apply.

 

Slapped 'em on my quicksand yesterday. Turned out great. Easy to install when following @rrentrop's directions.

 

Mahalo @rrentrop, I installed the reflective letters on an MGM truck. If you are thinking of purchasing the instructions included made the job really easy. The wet method is the way to go. So easy to spray and move around and adjust.

If I were to add a piece of advice it would be to do it in an area or at a time in which there are not high winds. A slight breeze can get the parts of the letters to stick together. With a little bit of patience I was able to salvage what could have been a request to rrentrop for a replacement letter. Thankfully I will not be needing to make that request.

You can barely see the black letters on the MGM during the day and at night the reflective-ness is sharp and stunning. Totally satisfied and totally worth it.

 

Nice job! Please note that I provide replacement decal letters for free if mistakes are made during the installation.

 

My God. How?! I bought one from @rrentrop too, but the plastic chrome ones my truck came with appears to have been installed with super glue or something, maybe I'm being a pussae, but when I attempted to remove it seemed to be held together to the gate so strong I'm afraid I might peel the paint off. . @rrentrop ?, any suggestions how I may remove mine? soak with lots of soap water?

 

They were probably installed using 3M HBA tape. You might want to try heating them with a blow dryer and the prying them up. If you can get behind the letters with some fishing string you can use a back and forth cutting motion to cut through the tape.

 

I also bought a set of sill protector letters from @rrentrop to match my MGM. Again, wet method made this job easy. I found these letters to be a little more challenging to install vs the tailgate letters because they are so much smaller. With patience though everything came out fine.

Cannot stress enough, do the wet method.
