Hey guys I'm new to the site but have been lurking for a while. I'm in the process of getting quotes for a new truck and have a question about the factory cover. I've seen on here where people say that there are holes actually drilled into the bed for installation of the factory cover. Where are these holes located? Thanks

The plastic bed rails get cut, the only reason it should concern you is if you plan
to remove or replace the cover, then you'd have notches, if it bothered you and you
plan on not replacing the cover you could replace the plastic bed rails that sit ontop
of the bed. I have the OEM cover and love it.

Could you post a pic? How much do the rails cost? Thanks

Looks just like this - uncut ones from the dealer are $145 per side.

no problem. I never had one and didn't want this one but was forced to buy it as it was
part of the "package". Now that I have it, I'd never take it off.

Ok. I'm working on a quote from a dealer in mobile and they offered to take it off. Guess it would look funny

Agreed. If they're taking it off, get them to swap out the rails with another one.
