OEM tonneau cover

It seems impossible to purchase the OEM trifold tonneau cover unless you get it as an option at the dealer. Does anyone know anyone who has purchased the OEM tonneau after the original truck purchase? I can't believe Toyota isn't going to capitalize on this accessory. They are losing thousands of dollars to the aftermarket products.

It is available separately in Canada, but I don't believe Toyota USA is offering it separately at this point.

I bought mine for $500 from a dealer takeoff. On new purchase, some folks are looking to reduce cost or have their heart on an aftermarket, so you can try to call around.

Only took about 10 minutes to install if you have the torx bit, 12mm socket and cordless. There's a left and right version of the little rubber pieces installed in the corners to avoid water intrusion.

 

We've had plenty of customers asking about them and there's no separate listing for them at this time. I've even called Toyota and can't get a hold of one.

Always a half dozen of them for sale on here.

 

All the other trifold covers have the cable which, I think, could be opened with a hanger. The OEM trifold has the handle. I can't believe how expensive they are but they only last a few years before they leak or the vinyl wears off

Leer Trilogy doesn't have the cable, not cheap, but it's a great cover.
