Stock springs. 1" block in back for rear unless you haul some extra weight. I'm doing 5100's on 1.5" and OEM coils up front but doing Headstrong Progressive AAL the rear because want a 1.5/1.5" lift and I also pull a trailer some.

MSRP on the kit is (now) $1750. BAM shows it for $1305, plus $199 for shipping (to my zip code anyway). Where are you seeing it for $1200?? And was that including tax, and/or shipping?

Agreed on the labor, 7-8.5 hours. But even then, dealers around this area are averaging $150/hour. Eight hours at $150 is $1200, all by itself.

So 5100’s set at 1.5” and stock springs up front and 5100’s and a 1” tapered block in the rear?

This is what I got also same amount for the Kit from Bam and same shipping amount. Around here labor is $155-165/ hr. Expensive kit.

Yep, but you don't need a tapered block. I did the math and determined that my pinion angle only changes 1° at 1.5" front and rear lift so a 1.5/1" would be even less. A slight taperd block won't likely hurt anything though.

I had the TRD lift installed on my Tacoma last year. If I remember correctly the entire install was completed in less than 6 hours. Then I had to come in for a re-torque after 500 miles and that took 15 mins. I can’t recall the final cost but I believe all in it was under $2250.

imo if they are charging anything more than $2000 then I’d look at other options. The warranty is nice but I’m already having to upgrade my leaf pack and am considering upgrading the rear shocks as well… Granted I do haul a lot of stuff.

Can OME springs work with TRD shocks to go a little higher?

What leaf pack are you looking at? What's wrong with rear shocks?

I’m looking at the Icon RXT full leaf pack. My stock leafs are basically flat under the weight of my sliders, camper shell, and gear. Nothing wrong with the shocks really, but when I upgrade the leafs ill have more lift than what the shocks allow for (if I take the weight out of the bed) - but I’m going to run the stock shocks for now

Gotcha. I appreciate the explanation. My 2023 leafs with 500 mile are(well.... were) basically straight. I just added HeadStrong progressive AAL and only gained 1-1/8"(all I have in bed is bedmat, Lomax bed cover and tool bag that weights 35lbs... so about 120lbs total.

What about Eibach? If they provide 2 inches, how much would the total lift be with the trd shocks?

Haven't seen anyone using a different spring on the TRD shocks yet. Go for it and report back haha. W/ the 5100's OME recommends the "0" setting or lowest notch. Keep in mind, with the TRD shocks you don't have that setting. You're already an inch higher than the lowest setting on the 5100's.

Hey guys just wanted to give you an update got to pick the truck up late last week. As I was waiting for finance I walked through the parts department at the dealer and saw this. I told the parts guy about the $4200 from the salesman and he said salesman are dumb. I confronted the salesman and he said look man I was just telling you what my manager said. Either way like I stated in a previous post I plan to drive the truck stock and burn the "free" rubber for a while while I research which direction I want to head. Thanks for all the input!

How do you like the HeadStrong progressive AAL for daily driving? I have a metal topper (roughly 160) pounds. Only load the bed when camping.

That's a price I'm not terribly disgruntled about...if I could get close to paying. ($2400)

For someone who bought the Extended Warranty, that can be an acceptable upgrade but depends on the buyer.

    Truck looks great!

    Congrats.

I did the progressive AAL at the same time as the 5100's. The truck doesn't ride as smooth as it did with the stock Off Road set up but it has way less body roll. I don't carry much weight in the bed(OEM bed mat, Lomax cover and a 35 lbs tool bag so that's about 120 lbs. I didn't get a full 1.5" of lift for some reason..... more like 1-1/8". So depending on how much lift you want, it may or may not work for your needs. I REALLY like how I didn't have to modify the stock leaves to install it and I do like having some arch to the leaves since stock was pretty much flat from day one. I hope this helps.
