I use the truck like a truck. Sometimes I load the quad in the back, and sometimes I drag the trailer with 3 quads on it (1,100 + (3 x 700) = 3,200 lbs). A lot of times I run empty, but sometimes I load it with 800 lbs of shit. Sometimes I only go 5 miles, but sometimes I go 500 miles, when dragging the trailer.

No hardcore off-roading, but run forest service roads from time-to-time. No armor, but plan on adding a skid set (front and mid). Maybe a hidden winch type setup up front.

Budget = whatever. I’ll do my own cost analysis when I see what is proposed.

Trying to figure out what lift I want. What say you, and why?

I chose the Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2 kit with 1" rear blocks. I like that the front coilovers are adjustable on the truck if I add a bumper or anything later on. I also liked the quality and price. The Stage 1 kit is similar to the Bilstein kit, using clips to adjust the height.

I have about 5000kms on the set up and am happy with the look and ride quality. 20220531_145634.jpg

I like the looks of your setup! I’ll look it up.

I have no clue what 5000kms is in real-world numbers. Get with the rest of the world and use the Imperial system. Even the UK is going back after Brexit. Learn to count to more than 10. JK…I found a conversion app. Still, tho…Kms…pffft.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Metric system is much more accurate and easier to use.

I have run everything from 5100's to kings and based on your usage something like the 6112+5160 could be a good option.

I have a similar use case now and am lean ng that way myself but would like rears that are adjustable with the damping for when loaded/towing.

I’m using my truck in a similar fashion. I did the TRD lift shocks to give me 2” in the front and did an icon AAL in the rear for what was more like 1” of lift than the advertised 1.5”. If I could go back in time I would have left the overload leaf in.

Super happy with my setup though and it was very inexpensive.

And since this conversion, has NASA been on the moon?! Shit, they don’t even fly their own spaceships anymore. We might be on to something.

Private companies (SpaceX) allow NASA to outsource / taxi rides at a much better deal for the taxpayer than NASA could ever think of providing without spending billions in R&D. Private sector > public sector. Hitching rides with Russia was embarrassing...

Back then Moon was on an imperial system, it since switched to metric system so NASA can't fly there anymore. They'll be 7/16 of an inch off if they'll try to land there again. :)

Bump stops ? Most people will not add a higher bump stops. There are bump stops for trailing and heavier loads, research what will be right for you. My Duro bumps stops front and rear works great so far. Sumo, Trimbren, Duro and airbags.

Blocks and / or AAL works good for a lift. Carrying heavier loads, I now realize I should have gone with leaf packs. Deavers, Ironman, OME, etc.

For regular use I'd recommend either 5100s or the Eibach stage 1. For what you want to I'd lean towards the 6112/5160 kit.

I have 5100s all around with OME 887 springs and 3 leaf progressive leaf with overload in the rear and it's been great for daily stuff but I'm not hauling the loads you plan to do. On occasion a few times a year I'll get about 700lbs in the bed. For that the 5100s have been great but you seem to be hauling more and more frequent.

Never been a fan of adjustable coilovers especially if you live in a climate that sees snow and salt. I prefer set and forget.

While this doesn't seem to be a consideration for a lot of people, with a 2022 I would add into the equation the fact that the TRD lift is the only one that will keep your factory warranty on your suspension in tact.

I have 5100s, 4th perch, one inch rear block, same as the TRD branded/5100 but cheaper and no warranty issues. In fact the dealers around here send the truck to this place for lifts. I mean were only talking shock/struts here, not like its going to effect a warranty claim. Plus what are you going to do when the shitty needle bearing takes a dump, run to the dealer for another crappy needle bearing? So now the TRD lift installed by the dealer has the vibration and you need an ECGS clamshell bushing, so how is that warranty working out for you. Some may need a front diff drop or a rear carrier drop thats not in the kit, so now what? I'm fine with my 5100s and saved some coins. If warranty won't cover it I will pay up and fix it, so if you wanna play you gotta pay!
