OEM vs. Aftermarket Brake Rotors and Calipers

    in the rust belt, one has to weigh their time against the cost of parts. Why spend 3 hours cleaning/painting everything to make it last another year at best...just replace the rotors when the judder gets annoying.

    I'm in CA so I don't deal with that...but there are 2 schools of thought, spend the time and clean/paint/lube everything and use the best parts you can find, or just throw cheap shit at it twice as often...or maybe at the same interval. I don't know, all depends on exposure as to which option is better for you. 1 hour of shop labor out here is more than 2 rotors and a set of pads. If I was paying for this to be done, I wouldn't want to pay another hour or 2 for cleaning and painting, it's less expensive to just replace them more often.
