I had an ARB 50qt on a slide in my Tacoma and then sold it. When I redo my bed I plan on going with the ARB half drawer with slide top next time. The slide takes up a bunch of space and provides no use out side of holding the fridge. Might as well put the space to work and the drawer is only $200 for than the slide.

I built my own slide. I found some HD slides at a local warehouse. I've had them for about 10 years but never used them until now. I built a basic frame from some 1" square tubing and mounted by Engen Transit lock to it and attached the slides. It's bolted to the bed floor with some eye bolts that act as extra tie downs.

Anyone with an edgestar? Mine just shit the bed and the compressor will no longer kick on. Does anyone have a fix for this? Or know where to find one? Ive had the thing for about 5 years so I'm not too disappointed that its finally broken. I just don't want to drop $800 on an ARB to go camping next weekend!

LOTS of wiring, dual battery setup, Solar charging system, with some random lights spread around here and there.
Did you open up the panel and check the connections? I heard that over time/use they can come loose.

Yes, I pulled the panel off and checked the solder connections. I had that problem once before. I'm guessing that the dc compressor controller is shot. I can't bring myself to spend $200 on a new one when the fridge only cost $450 new. I was gonna tinker with it more today but other projects came up. I'll get back to the fridge in a week or two.

Are you guys running these off the in cab power supply or running separate wiring? Friend is letting me take his to Moab this year and I want to make sure i can just plug it into the cigarette lighter (or whatever it's called).

Which fridge are you borrowing? Find out how many amps it will draw

Some guys on expo portal have no issues running it off of the stock cig lighters. But some people say they have better luck running a separate cig lighter straight to the batter or fuse block using 10 gauge wire

It is an ARB not sure what size. My guess it is a 50, I will text him and find out though.

The ARB's have a really good compressor, so you'll be fine. It only draws 1.35 amps so you can really run it for a long time without any issues. And you'll be wheeling throughout the day, so during that time your battery will be charging from having the fridge plugged in overnight. You'll be fine. And kudos to your friend for letting you borrow it!

I ended up buying a fridge and made myself a way to lock it down in the back seat. I Remembered how whitecloud had something similar last year so I quick whipped something up to lock down the fridge. I will be running it off the plug in the cab. I also got a small quality extension cord so I can run the fridge off the plug in the bed.
