I have a 2016 trd sport 4x4. I got new icon coilovers and rear shocks not only for added clearance but was hoping for a better ride quality off road. I can only tell the difference when going over big bumps and dips. As far as everything I definitely feel. I see people going crazy fast in similar vehicles. What else could I do to improve the ride quality? Lower the tire pressure? New leaf springs? Open to ideas!

What pressure are you at? Tire load range?

Add a set of Icon progressive AALs take out the stock helper spring ... did you get new springs for up front with the new shocks??

That kit with the AALs will hook you up... Icon shocks which set do you have?

They're K02's and at the recommended tire pressure now

    definitely air down a bit.

I'm not sure if your Icons have damping adjustment. But if it does that would help.

If you aren't airing down when wheeling, there's a huge problem. I usually run around 15 PSI when wheeling.

So, like 40-50psi? That's WAY too high - they need to be 15-20psi (any lower and you'll probably de-bead easily). That high of pressure means very little traction and rough ride offroad

Air down. I have E rated K02s that I run at 35psi on the street and 12-15psi while wheeling (as low as 8 psi in the sand).

I did a trail once with them at 35psi and I thought my back was going to snap in half, wheeling without airing down is insane. Not to mention, you get much better traction when you're aired down.

Won't the aal's add more lift? I don't really want that.

I run icons too and will say that airing down takes out the vibration of washboard roads better than any coilover can. I usually run between 12-15 psi in those situations. A good Co2 system will fill your tires back up in about 20 seconds a tire. I built my own for much less than the ready to go systems.

If you're adjusting your tires that much, is it really worth paying the premium for Co2 vs regular compressed air?

Well it's about $25 for 20lbs of co2. That 20lbs will fill a 33" tire about 80 times. Co2 is stored as a liquid so there is a ton of volume in a 20lb tank. Since it's a liquid there also no reduction in pressure as the tank gets lower. Co2 is also slower expanding gas so it's actually safer than air in a compressed state.

I also have an ARB single piston compressor that is in backup status now. It would take that compressor at least 15 minutes at least to fill 4 tires from 12 to 32 psi and not to mention it would get hot enough to to blister your skin. The co2 will do the same job in a couple of minutes and no moving parts to burn up. For me it's totally worth the convenience and in the long run might even save $ considering I won't be burning up any OBA compressors. My .02

All good points. I was thinking from a ride quality standpoint, but from a storage standpoint I can see why it makes more sense.

Drop hot tire pressure to 18-20 PSI. With a heavy load, I run 24-25 PSI.

If you're on washboard, in addition to dropping the PSI, the only way you'll get a comfier ride is to go 50-70 MPH (yes, I'm serious). Note that your tires will fling gravel and other crap up at your truck (my sliders recently took a HELL of a beating from this).

Ballpark me a number on your tank set up that shit is dope. I can't use my Walmart air compressor/jumper cable set more than the one time I bought it for. It was a waste of 45 bucks. Unless you need a jump.

So I have a good friend in the beverage industry that was able to get me the 20lb tank for free. I then bought the 0-250 psi regulator for $130 from wheelers offroad. They also have a fixed 150 psi regulator for about 50 bucks if you want to keep cost down. Then airline and fittings cost me 15 bucks on Amazon and add another 15 bucks for spray paint and masking tape for the unique paint job. I also spent about 30 bucks on the large tank quickfist to mount it in the bed. You can check craigslist for beverage co2 tanks and I asked the guy at the fill station about converting aluminum co2 fire extinguishers to a gate valve and the guy told me it was possible but would need a hydrostatic test ($25) after the conversion. You can find old co2 extinguishers much cheaper than a beverage tank.
Much cheaper than a similar power tank setup which runs $540 and just as effective.
