I don't think there are many (can't think of any personally) that still use the factory tow package. Most rear plate bumpers do away with the factory tow package giving you more clearance off-road. From what I've seen, you can either get a plate bumper with an integrated receiver like @Mobtown Offroad and some others, or get a plate bumper from a company and buy their high clearance receiver like All-pro and some others do. From what I've read, they all seem to be just as capable as the factory receiver, so it really comes down to personal preference of bumper design. Whatever you do, expect to pay at least $800-1000 once you calculate in the shipping cost.

I got my skids from pelfrybilt. I called them and asked many questions and they were always helpful. Even when i went to pick them up they gave me a brief tour of their shop. Im looking forward to ordering my hybird front bumper from them later this year. Cant say enough good things about them.

We've had this discussion on other threads, but it comes down to how serious you are about having an engineered rated hitch. Most after market hitches might be just as capable, but if one them failed while hauling something big and fatal, you can bet a good lawyer that you would have major liability issues. For some of us this possibility isn't worth the risk. However if you're just pulling some camping equipment down an off road trail, maybe its no big deal, and just about anything will work fine. if comes unhitched, you just need to hook it back up and continue your journey. Not so simple at 100 km/hr, with a couple of horses in a horse trailer going through Toronto on the 401. haha.

I got a fab fours premium bumper. I like the look of it alot, and you can retain your factory hitch as well. IMG_20170329_170240.jpg IMG_20170329_170252.jpg
