Oh no we get the kid has a big work load. But he is assuming that none of us either have the workload with his initial post. Just pointing out that he may not be the only one that has a lot on his/her plate. There were a lot of assumptions thrown out there. Only regrats I got bro is that my kid wasn't born before my grandfather died. Every hard earned lesson I have had has a funny or good story behind it.

I think his biggest take away isn't to ignore issues anymore and make it a point to get his vehicle to a reputable repair shop before shit really goes bad. There is always a tow truck and you don't even have to be there when they come get your vehicle. Gotta take time out of your busy schedule to make things priorities. Sometimes it's hard for a 20 something to think those things through.

Thank you, I promise I wasn’t throwing any assumptions that no one in here works. I was just saying it’s not like I was just sitting around on a couch all day letting my mother try and help me. I was more directing that to the people who were rude to my mom for absolutely no reason simply because she was helping me out financially with my truck. Again, thank you to those who actually had helped with their input.

Yeah, pretty much. I joined the service right out of high school and served 8 years. I'm the definition of pampered.

lots of people joined the service and served, maybe you can convince the others to do so and not have their parents treat them like adult children and not supporting adult day care

When people come to TW seeking advice they should just post the facts with just enough information to get an educated response, no one here needed to know all the personal details posted by the OP.

The thread reads like a Jerry Springer Show and some of you are acting shocked by the negative responses to it?

No, when a new member comes in and asks a question it should be answered by people that know what they’re talking about. There’s No need for the speculation of drifting and parenting / being an adult advice for 8 pages.

First off it’s OPs kid and money she can do whatever she wants with both.

Second if my kids are college athletes and there car breaks down I’m going to fix it too

So yeah @BillsSR5 can fuck off. No one cares or wants to hear the diarrhea spewing from his mouth.

FYI his first post to the thread

You've proven my point in paragraph 2 and 3 of your response.
