All jokes aside, in my decades of travel, I've needed water, oil, bailing wire, duct tape and zip ties ... plus maybe a hammer and vise grips, more than I've needed traditional tools. Also, I've needed inch-size wrenches to fix camping gear or tighten aftermarket stuff. So don't forget those.

+1 on duct tape and zip ties. Cant tell you how many times I needed each on several vehicles to get home.
