*****EDIT** TO HELL WITH IT. RTT ORDERED. TRAILER NO LONGER FOR SALE*****

    Located in Mahwah NJ 07430

    $3500

    Build Thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/60’s-sears-allstate-“luggage”-off-road-trailer.526081/

Copied from my CL add (more pics there):
    https://newjersey.craigslist.org/tro/6610593210.html?lang=en&cc=us

    EDIT:

I have decided to include a CVT Black Butte Ground tent in the sale price of the trailer.

The Butte has been used one time. It’s basically a copy of an OZ tent. The CVT Black Butte ground tent is made with the same materials as their RTTs. It’s very tough and is instant opening.

You can see the tent strapped to the roof rack of the trailer in one of the pics. That’s the primary reason that I added the rack to the trailer in the first place.

I will also include a Coleman queen cot and air mattress. Also used one time.

    Pics added.

I might also take a car trailer in trade.

Just finished. 1960s Sears Allstate trailer that has been built into an off road trailer. It's registered in my name as a Sears Allstate trailer. Not as homemade. You will have absolutely no trouble registering this trailer.

This was a winter project for me. I built it just to keep myself busy. I used it once to test it out. This trailer tows great on and off road. Pulls at 80+ MPH perfectly. The axle is the standard 60/40 split. We can go for a test tow if you'd like. Nothing to hide here.

The trailer started out as a 1967 Sears Allstate trailer. I built an entirely new frame, with new axle, springs, shocks, hubs, etc. I used all stainless fasteners on the body.

The trailer is wired with a seven pin harness. It has reverse lights and could have brakes if you'd like to add them. Although, I don't believe it's heavy enough to warrant adding brakes to it. The axle does have the flanges in place though.

I also made a custom roof rack and reinforced the sides. I weigh 250 lbs and can bounce on the rack with no deflection to the body.

The ARB Awning, awning room, propane tanks, Pelican case, scepter fuel can, and hitch carrier are all included in the sale price. That is a Queen size cot pictured in the awning room. As you can see, there's plenty of room inside.

This trailer is freshly built and 100% ready to go.

Wheels and tires are Toyota 6 lug pattern and 315/75/16s 35" Cooper Discovery Maxxs' that match my truck.

The only thing that isn't new on this trailer is the body. The body measures roughly 4' W x 5' L. The tongue is 4' long. That's the perfect length for off road maneuverability and on road handling.

Thank you. The Wife wants a camper. I’m still working on her though. The trailer might still get a RTT. The build thread might not be dead yet.

I liked that you put the original decals back on it. Small, but made it even cooler.

Yeah, I knew I wanted to do that right from the beginning.

That, and use the original fenders somehow.

that thing is fantastic. kinda glad it is way over there on the other side of the country.

or my," hey honey, we own an off road trailer from SEARS!" discussion would have been really awkward.
