"The only difference is the wheels and the stickers".

That's what the upstanding salesman told me and I'm sticking with it!

It's funny, because in that dude's thread he rattles off some misinformation of his own.

    Not true at all though.

The Offroad has Progressive front springs, the Sport has Linear front springs. (Linear bottoms out easier)

The Offroad has a rear locker, the Sport doesn't.

The sport has the standard stabalizer bar, the Offroad has a smaller one to allot more wheel flex.

Then ofcourse you have all the obvious stuff...

All I know is that The shocks and struts for an 06 Tacoma sport are the same for the 4 wheel off road. I just had them replaced and that is what they said. It was the same part number for both.

I was going to trade my offroad 4 a 6ft-sport last weekend if the price was right at this point my offroad rides like a sport, then this winter i could fit my snowmobile in the back w/o a 3ft piece of track hanging off the back. I still miss my old new offroad ride!

the sport handles much nicer on the road than the offroad, from what i tested yesterday. the offroad has a stiffer front end compaired to the sport.

    This.

The need to answer a 4 year old question is just too strong sometimes.
