I'd like to see pics/video of him driving off of that.

The Tacoma looks better than the Jeep as yard art anyway. And one day I want to be a mod, so I took the first step in getting there.

Why is it perceived that 0.4 inch makes the rear end that much better? I have never had an issue with the 8.0" locking differential in all three of my Tacomas (2001, 2005, 2010).

Those of you asking for a locker, the Off Road has a rear locker, and for the front and rear it has the A-TRAC. It will surprise you how well it does at getting you anywhere, perhaps better than front and rear lockers... since you have full steering control, as it locks automatically only when any tire(s) looses traction (ie. only when needed).

The issue is simply the extended length of a double cab long bed (6') not offered with the Off Road TRD package. Also, for our Canadian amigos in the Great White North, no double cab standard bed (5') Off Road available. That I think is a real shame, eh?

The 6' bed is the standard bed , the mutant bed is the 5'

The reg cab , access and dclb all have the 6' bed

Because for some, every tenth of a inch counts.

You quoted yourself? Seems strange. I agree with you though, so I guess if you're going to reinforce a point, you picked a decent one.

Real men just call it camping
    DCLB
    Pros:
    1. 4 real doors and a back seat.
    2. Normal bed for actually working out of. ie: longer lumber, etc
    3. Longer wheel base for more stable towing.
    Cons:
    1. Turning radius.
    2. No Off Road option.

I love my DCLB for my needs, but it's not for everyone.

    going to be fun!
I thought this through for a long time as I have always had a long bed truck mainly full size F-150's for over 26 years.

When deciding to go with the 2014 Toyota Tacoma Off-Road DC I was going oh shit did I make a mistake. But I have found out so far it was the right choice to go with the DCSB as I don't have to climb into the back as much to get stuff out.

No. Shitty ring gears and shitty actuators pretty much do it for me.

    Looks legit to me :notsure:
